Jasmine Cosme
My origins stem from New Jersey, but I have since relocated to Florida in the year 2002. Both of my parents hail from Puerto Rico and migrated to the United States during the early 80s. My academic journey led me to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the esteemed University of South Florida, followed by a Master's degree in the field of Instructional Design from Saint Leo University.
Accomplishment
As a first-generation graduate, I had the privilege of earning a Master's degree in Instructional Design, which has provided me with a unique perspective that may often go unnoticed during content creation. Despite possessing this degree, I remain a lifelong learner, continuously expanding my understanding of learners and teaching modalities.
Additionally, during my Master's studies, I was honored to be awarded Omega Nu Lambda for my dedication to academic excellence. Throughout my studies, I focused on understanding the learners and their individual needs, exploring different teaching modalities to ensure that each student received the best possible education. By continuously expanding my understanding of learners, I was able to create content that was engaging, effective, and tailored to their unique learning style.

As a professional in the instructional design community, my objective in my current employment at Saint Leo University is to acquire knowledge about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its practical application in both higher education and career settings. I am dedicated to assisting students in obtaining reasonable accommodations and collaborating with community employers to offer training and raise awareness among potential employers with regard to disability. My primary objective is to educate employers on fostering an inclusive and accessible work environment for employees with disabilities.

My objective is to establish an educational consulting firm that endeavors to generate learning opportunities for diverse organizations in the educational sector, corporate entities, or military contracts. My emphasis is on designing learner analysis utilizing the Dick & Carey model to thoroughly immerse myself in the learner's perspective and create captivating content. I aim to expand my expertise in developing inclusive learning programs to cater to all learners' needs.
